The short version
If you send us a message, we use the details in that message to reply and decide how we can help. We do not sell personal information, run advertising profiles, or use analytics trackers on this website. Your dark or light theme choice stays in your browser.
Who is responsible for your information?
Privion Technologies, a Ghanaian software company based in Germany, is the data controller for information collected through this website. That means we decide why and how that information is used.
For privacy questions or requests, email priviontech@gmail.com.
Information we collect
When you contact us
Our enquiry form asks for your name, email address, subject, and message. You may also provide a phone number and company name. We receive any other personal information you choose to include in your message, so please do not send sensitive information unless it is genuinely necessary.
Information created when the site is used
Our hosting and security systems may process technical details such as your IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time, response status, and error information. These records help deliver the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures.
Your theme preference
If you switch between dark and light mode, the setting is stored locally in your browser under privion-theme. It is not sent to us and is not used to identify you.
What we do not currently use
This website does not currently use advertising cookies, behavioural advertising, analytics trackers, or automated profiling. If that changes, we will update this policy and request consent where the law requires it.
How we use your information
- To read, route, and respond to your enquiry.
- To discuss a possible project and prepare a proposal or agreement you request.
- To deliver contracted work and maintain our business records if you become a client.
- To protect the website and our systems from spam, fraud, misuse, and security threats.
- To investigate errors and keep the website reliable.
- To meet tax, accounting, legal, and regulatory obligations.
We do not use enquiry details to place you on an unrelated marketing list. If we ever invite you to opt into marketing, that choice will be separate and optional.
Our legal bases under the GDPR
We process project enquiries and information needed to prepare or perform a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. We handle general correspondence, site security, fraud prevention, and service improvement under our legitimate interests in operating a safe and responsive business under Article 6(1)(f). We retain records where necessary to comply with legal obligations under Article 6(1)(c).
Where we rely on consent for a future, optional use, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing that already took place lawfully.
How long we keep information
We normally keep enquiries for up to 12 months after our last meaningful contact so we can continue the conversation and understand previous discussions. If the enquiry becomes a project, relevant communications and project records are kept for the life of the engagement and afterwards for applicable legal, tax, warranty, and claims periods.
Technical and security logs are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service. We may retain a record longer when a dispute, security incident, or legal duty requires it. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
Your privacy rights
Depending on the circumstances, the GDPR gives you the right to ask for access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an objection to processing based on legitimate interests. You can also withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis.
Email us to exercise a right. We may need enough information to confirm your identity before releasing or changing personal data. You may also complain to the data-protection authority responsible for our location in Germany or to the authority where you live or work.
Security and international transfers
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to prevent unauthorised access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. No internet service can promise absolute security, so please use care when deciding what to include in a message.
Some technology providers may process information outside Germany or the European Economic Area. Where GDPR rules apply to such a transfer, we rely on a recognised safeguard such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual protections.
We do not use the website to make decisions about you solely through automated processing, and the site is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
We will revise this page when our website or data practices change. The effective date at the top tells you when this version began to apply. Material changes will be presented clearly rather than hidden in minor wording updates.
